Who should win the 2025 Hobey Baker award? And who will?

The Hobey Baker Award is given annually to the player who is the most outstanding in the country, and this year's finalists present the second extremely close call in a row.

There are two forwards who seem to have been in the race basically since the first weekend of the season, and a defenseman who maybe got a little bit snubbed last year and returned for a similarly great campaign.

It makes the choice difficult for voters, to say the least.

In alphabetical order, the Hobey Hat Trick this year is Denver's Zeev Buium, Michigan State's Isaac Howard, and Boston College's Ryan Leonard.

The interesting thing with this group is that, in a year for which there were so many great goalies at the top of the country's stats pages that the Mike Richter award had four finalists, there are none represented
