BREAKING: Edmonton Oilers to Sign Quinn Hutson to Entry-Level Contract

Cam Robinson, Content Director at Elite Prospects, has reported that Quinn Hutson, a forward from Boston University, is set to sign with the Edmonton Oilers following the conclusion of his season with the Terriers.
The 23-year-old is expected to ink a two-year entry-level contract with the Oilers. This contract will see him report directly to Edmonton, expediting the timeline of his contract by one year. Following the 2025-26 season, he will transition to a restricted free agent status.
Hutson, who is the oldest sibling of Lane and Cole Hutson, was the leading scorer for the Terriers, achieving 23 goals and a total of 50 points over 37 games. His average of 1.35 points per game ranked him second nationally, just behind Hobey Baker Award winner Isaac Howard, who recorded 1.41 points per game.
The list of players to have produced 50 or more points with BU in the last 25 years is impressive. Players such as Jack Eichel, Macklin Celebrini, Nick Bonino, and Evan Rodrigues, to name a few.
Hutson ranked 16th on the Elite Prospects' 2025 NCAA Free Agent Guide.
