After a few years of salary-cap hell because of some incredibly costly but necessary buyouts, the Wild can get a little crazy this summer if they so choose.

They're projected to have almost $20.6 million in cap space and, get this: They only have four or five roster spots to fill, and two restricted free agents to extend. None of those roster spots, by the way, are all that close to the top of the roster.

What a potentially fantastic situation for GM Bill Guerin, whose team could use a few upgrades. But at the same time, his biggest and by far most pressing piece of business doesn't even impact next season's payroll.
