Anton Stastny was selected in the 4th round of the 1979 Draft after scoring 51 points and winning a Czechoslovak Extraliga Championship with HC Slovan Bratislava. He debuted with the Nordiques in 1980-81 and scored 39 goals and 85 points. He scored at least 25 goals and 62 points each year until 1988. Stastny retired from the NHL in 1989 with 252 goals and 636 points in 650 games.
