En lirare i ordets rätta bemärkelse som trots detta inte klev åt sidan när blåstället skulle på. Flyttade från Nynäs till AIK innan han inför säsongen 1959/60 blev Djurgårdare och järnkamin. Ett äktenskap som resulterade i SM-guld redan första säsongen.

Landslagsman i fotboll och även framgångsrik bandyspelare i Nynäshamns IF.
