Laurila is a puck-moving defender with a play-killing streak. He jumps into the play as much as possible, often shifting around defenders with possession and sneaking backdoor for chances. He leads rushes after absorbing contact along the wall, works give-and-gos, and looks for teammates in the slot instead of forcing low-percentage shots. -EliteProspects 2025 NHL Draft Guide
