Norman Lim "Normie" Kwong played Canadian football from 1948 to 1960 representing the Calgary Stampeders and the Edmonto Eskimos. He was a four time All-Star and won four Grey Cup championships during his playing career. He was also the first Chinese Canadian to play in the Canadian Football League.
Following his successful playing career, Kwong was the president and general manager of the Calgary Stampeders from 1988 to 1991. He was one of owners of the Calgary Flames from 1980 to 1994. He served as the 16th Lieutenant Governor of Alberta from 2005 to 2010. He passed away on September 3, 2016.
