Mark Garcea and Page Johnson acquired the Hampton Roads Admirals from Blake Cullen in 1996. They took the Admirals to the AHL in 2001, after they were grandted an expansion franchise in 2000. They sold their rights to an ECHL franchise to Shelby Amos, Wanda Amos and Sal Diaz-Verson in 2001.
