Jaromír Pérez, LW/RW, Bílí Tygři Liberec (2025 NHL Draft re-entry)
Jaromír Pérez struggled with back problems for much of the season but made a strong return, surprising many with his performances—some even expected him to contend for a spot on the Czech World Junior Championship roster. As of February 3, 2025, the 19-year-old forward has played 26 games for Bílí Tygři Liberec, recording three goals and 12 assists for a total of 15 points. His average ice time is 15 minutes and 47 seconds per game, ranking him among the top junior players in the league in terms of usage.
This year, he is playing the best hockey of his career, showcasing tremendous composure. His playmaking abilities have reached another level, and he effortlessly dekes past experienced Extraliga players with his stickhandling and sharp stop-and-go style. Pérez’s exceptional skating and offensive instincts have been evident throughout the season. He continues to work on his defensive responsibilities and physical play to become a more well-rounded player. His development in these areas will be crucial as he aims to make a significant impact in professional hockey.
Tomáš Pobežal, C, HK Nitra (2025 NHL Draft)
Tomas Pobezal has been a standout performer for HK Nitra in the Slovak Extraliga this season. He currently leads all under-20 players in goals scored, highlighting his offensive ability. Pobežal represented Slovakia at the recent World Junior Championship, appearing in five games and recording one assist.
The energy with which he plays is remarkable. Every shift, he competes with relentless intensity. His style is also unique—he can get under opponents' skin with his aggression, physicality, and constant provocation. Despite his age, he plays with impressive maturity, and his offensive skills, particularly his quick shot and puck control, are among the strongest aspects of his game. He is a player who maximizes every opportunity and contributes significantly with his two-way play. His stock is skyrocketing.
Robin Nico Antenen, LW, EV Zug (2025 NHL Draft)
Recognizing his potential, EV Zug signed Robin Nico Antenen to a two-year professional contract in December 2024, fully integrating him into the first team. The 18-year-old left winger has been making significant strides in the National League this season while also serving as captain of the U20 team.
Standing 6'2" and weighing 190 pounds, Antenen is a physical, two-way forward. He plays a heavy, checking game and uses his size effectively to establish possession in the offensive zone, serving as a net-front presence on the power play. He also has surprisingly strong puck skills, showing flashes of creativity in one-on-one situations. His maturity on the ice is beyond his years, making him a highly intriguing prospect.

Tomáš Galvas, D, Bílí Tygři Liberec (2025 NHL Draft re-entry)
Tomas Galvas has been a key player for Bílí Tygři Liberec in the Czech Extraliga. His confidence has been steadily rising with each game. Winning a bronze medal at the recent WJC boosted his momentum, but playing alongside Radim Šimek has also played a significant role in his growth. Šimek has openly expressed his desire to mentor Galvas, helping him refine his game.
Known for his active and effective play, Galvas controls the ice with his skating. He is a reliable puck-moving defenceman who does not shy away from his defensive responsibilities. His poised puck play allows him to contribute offensively from the back end, and his edge work—arguably the best in the Czech Extraliga—lets him elude opponents with ease. However, his smaller stature remains a challenge, and he will need to continue developing his physical strength to compete effectively at higher levels. His strong play earned him a new two-year contract.
Stock Falling 📉
Jan Skok, D, HC Plzeň (2025 NHL Draft)
As of February 5, 2025, Jan Skok, a 17-year-old defenceman for HC Škoda Plzeň, has been making steady progress in the Czech Extraliga. He plays a responsible, defence-first game and has earned some ice time this season. In 27 games, he has recorded one goal and eight penalty minutes, demonstrating a disciplined approach.
Skok’s strengths lie in his defensive awareness, strong positional play, and physicality—he often uses his size effectively in board battles and net-front situations. His composure under pressure is also a key asset, allowing him to make smart decisions with the puck. However, while he is primarily a stay-at-home defenceman, further developing his offensive instincts and puck-moving skills could help him become a more complete player.
