During his playing career Wallinheimo was known for his showmanship and became a fan favorite where he played. His antics inspired his teammates and he was hard to score during a hot streak. On the downside this also led to taking unnecessary risks. His weaknesses were in his style and puck control. Donned ancient Egypt themed masks, complementing his name given to him in inspiration of Mika Waltari's novel The Egyptian.
