Jakub Dobeš is a butterfly-goalie with a nice combination of size and athleticism. Plays with an excellent compete level and battles to make saves, as he never gives up on a shot. Has the great ability to stay puck-focused and never keeps his eyes off the puck. Rebound control is an area to improve, as he has pucks bounce off him and even loose pucks within his reach, he tends to chip them away keeping the chaos alive instead of grabbing the puck and covering it. Supports his defenseman by stopping the puck behind the net and playing it, whenever possible. Dobeš loves to play on top of his crease and challenge shooters by cutting their angles in an extreme way. He relies heavily on the reserve-VH when the puck is in the corners, or behind the net, shows good footwork and moves well laterally.
