A big, speedy winger with quick hands and great playmaking ability. Voracek was selected 7th overall in 2007 after scoring 86 points with the Halifax Mooseheads. He debuted for the Blue Jackets in 2008 and scored his first goal in the first period of his first game. He won World Championship gold with the Czech Republic in 2010 and tied Mario Lemieux's NHL All-Star Game record with 6 points in 2015.
