McDavid collected his 800th career assist one game after hitting 400 goals and 1,200 points in Salt Lake City. McDavid won a face-off in the right circle back to Bouchard, who skated into the high slot before beating Adin Hill blocker side to give the Oilers a 4-3 overtime win and a two-point lead over Vegas in the Pacific.

Granlund has seven goals during a four-game goal streak as Anaheim extended its winning streak to four games and maintained first place in the Pacific Division.

Alex Ovechkin produced one of the great performances of his storied career, scoring a hat trick to lead Washington's comeback from 3-1 down. The goals were Ovechkin's 924th, 925th and 926th of his career, and he passed Brett Hull for sole possession of fourth-most hat tricks in league history with his 34th. Ovechkin has now scored hat tricks against 21 different NHL franchises, also surpassing Hull for the most in NHL history. He completed the feat with an empty-net goal with 5.2 seconds remaining.
