Eric Blum is an undersized offensive defenseman. A fast skater with tremendous foot speed, who loves to join the rush. Blum plays a very good first pass and is able to send his forwards with long outlet passes on breakaways. Can guide a power play and owns a decent shot with a quick release. The diminutive defenseman avoids contact and usually uses a quick stick along the boards to gain puck possession. Stays calm when he is under pressure and uses his very good skating abilities to shake his opponents off. (by Rafik Soliman, March 2015)
