Founded in 1985 after SC Hasle-Rüegsau and EHC Lützelflüh merged. The team was named EHC Brandis and played in Hasle-Rüegsau. In 2018, the major team relocated to nearby Huttwil and was renamed "Hockey Huttwil". All other teams (Brandis II and Brandis III as well as all junior teams) remained in Hasle-Rüegsau.
