A big-bodied defenceman that brings a very strong all-around game to the ice consistently. Has built his game out of his own end and knows the defensive side of the puck well. Makes smart and skilled decisions, with and without the puck. On the other hand, he is an intelligent offensive presence with slick passing skills and a hard, accurate shot. Very smooth and fluid in his skating, and uses that to his advantage. Could be more physical, but that will come. All-in-all, an excellent two-way defenceman that is able to consistently out-work opponents and convey a positive message to his team, one that says "we're going to win tonight and you can rally around me".
